Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Staff Profiles
Tom A. Adducci, DVMDr. Tom Adducci is a Colorado native, born and raised in north Denver. He attended Mapleton High School, graduating in 1983. He then attended Colorado State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, in 1991.
Dr. Adducci practiced in a mixed animal practice for 4 years, and then joined a small animal practice in west Denver, becoming a partner. He practiced at this hospital for 15 years. He became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2004 at CSU, and went on to study advanced acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. He has also taken classes in Chinese herbal medicine. His special interests are acupuncture and herbal medicine, along with pain management. He also enjoys surgery.
Dr. Adducci and his wife, Candace, live in north Denver, with their two children, Dominic and Gianna. Their pets currently include two cats, Mouse and Cleo. Dr. Adducci enjoys fishing, hiking and the outdoors. He also has a special interest in Kung fu & Tai Chi. Show More

MacKenzie Pellin, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. MacKenzie Pellin grew up in Mankato, MN. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Her professional interests include oncology, neurology and internal medicine.
Dr. Pellin lives with her husband Brian, and their four rescued mixed breed dogs: Fletcher, Olive, Martini and Gatsby. In her free time she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and is looking forward to leaning to ski and snowboard. Show More

Colleen E. McCoy, DVMDr. Colleen McCoy is originally from a small town in upstate New York. She received her Associate degree in Applied Veterinary Science from SUNY Delhi. She then worked as a licensed veterinary technician for a year prior to attending veterinary school. Dr. McCoy received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University, which is located on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts and Nevis. She has also spent time in South Africa, where she was involved in the conservation and relocation of wildlife.
Dr. McCoy’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery and critical care. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dog, Odin. She also loves playing soccer, traveling, cooking, painting and scuba diving. Show More
