Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Staff Profiles
Tom A. Adducci, DVMDr. Tom Adducci is a Colorado native, born and raised in north Denver. He attended Mapleton High School, graduating in 1983. He then attended Colorado State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, in 1991.
Dr. Adducci practiced in a mixed animal practice for 4 years, and then joined a small animal practice in west Denver, becoming a partner. He practiced at this hospital for 15 years. He became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2004 at CSU, and went on to study advanced acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. He has also taken classes in Chinese herbal medicine. His special interests are acupuncture and herbal medicine, along with pain management. He also enjoys surgery.
Dr. Adducci and his wife, Candace, live in north Denver, with their two children, Dominic and Gianna. Their pets currently include two cats, Mouse and Cleo. Dr. Adducci enjoys fishing, hiking and the outdoors. He also has a special interest in Kung fu & Tai Chi. Show More

Larie Allen, DVM, DACVSBoard-Certified in Surgery
Dr. Allen completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1993. After graduation, she was accepted to a program at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA, followed by a surgical residency at The Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York City. She then pursued additional expertise in surgical oncology by completing a fellowship at Colorado State University in 1999. Dr. Allen earned her Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1999.
Dr. Allen's primary interest lies in oncologic surgeries, but also enjoys performing all types of surgeries. These include orthopedic surgeries (such as TPLOs and TTAs), advanced soft tissue surgeries, neurosurgery, laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy. Dr. Allen is one of the few surgeons in the country included in the Veterinary Society for Surgical Oncology. Membership requires additional specialty training in this field.
Prior to joining the Wheat Ridge team, Dr. Allen lived and practiced in Albuquerque, NM. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, mountain climbing, camping, skiing, traveling, and playing with her pets; Sam, Daisy and Betty. Show More

Anna C. Brandin, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Anna Brandin grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University.
Dr. Brandin’s professional interests include emergency, critical care and internal medicine. She lives in Denver with her cat, Ody, and in her free time enjoys reading, cooking, hiking and traveling. Show More
