Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Staff Profiles
Joseph M. Conrad, DVMDr. Joseph Conrad grew up in Covington, GA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. While in veterinary school, he participated in a spay/neuter/vaccination clinic in San Luis, Costa Rica, and spent a summer volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation facility and zoo in Trujillo, Peru. His professional interests include surgery, neurology, and internal medicine.
Dr. Conrad lives in Denver with his miniature Dachshund, Dottie, and his Labrador Retriever mix, Ellie. He loves to travel, and in his free time, he enjoys taking his dogs to the park, hiking, backpacking, skiing, soccer, cycling, and live music. Show More
Lisa M. Mausbach, DVMGeneral Practice
Dr. Mausbach was born in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Casper, Wyoming at the age of two. She graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in Casper and continued her education at the University of Wyoming in Laramie where she received her bachelor's degree in molecular biology. Dr. Mausbach earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University after which she accepted an internship position at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. After graduating from the internship program in 1999, she agreed to stay on board as a general practitioner.
Dr. Mausbach's professional interests include general/preventative wellness, dentistry, minor surgical procedures and internal medicine. She lives in Thornton with her husband, Andrew. With them are their "children": Heidi, a Miniature Schnauzer; Hannah, a poodle; one cockatiel, Scooter; and a Severe macaw parrot, Mack. In her free time, she enjoys working out, road biking and vacations to anywhere with a beach. Show More

Shannon M. Jordan, DVMGeneral Practice
Dr. Jordan was born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio, a small town 40 miles south of Cleveland. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology from Ohio State University in June 2001, she attended veterinary school at Ohio State and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in June 2006. She moved to Denver and accepted an internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. At the conclusion of her internship program, she was hired to stay on as a general practitioner at the hospital.
Dr. Jordan is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society.
Her husband, Stephen, and her dogs, Hannah and Sophie, enjoy the mountains and the abundant sunshine here in Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for friends and family, hiking, skiing, camping, and swimming. Show More
