Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory premieres tonight, and no one is more excited than we are for the return of the Mystic Warlords of Ka’a, string theory, the ShAmy and, of course, all the bazingas.
While we were waiting for the show to start up again, we began thinking about which of our canine friends reminds us the most of Dr. Sheldon Cooper. And then it hit us: The brilliant, charming, funny, laser-focused, endearingly neurotic Border Collie! Here’s why.
He’s never met a problem he couldn’t solve.

He’ll hang out with friends, but only if those friends are willing to do exactly what he wants to do. All the time. No exceptions.

He’s an expert prankster. Bazinga!

In his mind, everything is theoretical. Even gravity.

Don’t even think about sitting in his spot.

He’s very specific (OK, obsessive) about little things, like food. Did you get the hot mustard from the Korean grocery? Good.

Do we even need to say it? Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.
