Since 1907, the Westminster Kennel Club has awarded the coveted Best in Show title 103 times. You might think with over a century’s worth of competitions, a large variety of breeds would have gone home with the title. But certain breeds always seem to win year after year. Click through the photo gallery to see dogs who are the judges favorites.

Airedale Terrier

Airedale Terrier

Called "the king of terriers" by his fans, the Airedale may really be the smartest of the terriers. This handsome guy has won Best in Show four times.

His chances of winning this year, however, are slim. According to Wynn Las Vegas' annual Westminster odds, there is a 1000 to 1 chance he'll take home top honors. In fact, it's been quite a while since the breed has won. The last Best in Show Airedale was Ch Warland Protector of Shelterock in 1933.

Boxer

Boxer

With his wrinkled and worried-looking face, square jaw and jaunty walk, it's no surprise that the Boxer has won Westminster four times.

His odds of winning this year are 15 to 1. The last Boxer Best in Show was Ch Arriba's Prima Donna in 1970.

Cocker Spaniel

Cocker Spaniel

Known for her sweet puppy dog eyes, the Cocker Spaniel's popularity grew after World War II with the two-time Westminster Best in Show winner Ch. My Own Brucie. However, this four-time champ hasn't taken the title since 1954 with Ch Carmor's Rise and Shine.

Her odds of winning this year? Very high. The breed has a 7 to 1 chance.

Doberman Pinscher

Doberman Pinscher

The intelligent and loyal Doberman Pinscher has won Best in Show four times. The first Doberman to win Best in Show at Westminster was Ch. Ferry v Raufelsen of Giralda in 1939. He was followed by his grandson, Ch. Rancho Dobe's Storm, who had back-to-back wins in 1952 and 1953 and more recently by Ch. Royal Tudor Wild as the Wind in 1989.

The statuesque breed has a 35 to 1 shot of winning Westminster this year.

Sealyham Terrier

Sealyham Terrier

Compared to other terriers, the Sealyham is a very mellow and laid-back dog. Perhaps his great personality and lovely coat are why he has won Westminster four times. The last Sealyham who took the title was Ch. Dersade Bobby's Girl in 1977.

Odds of winning: 150 to 1.

Standard Poodle

Standard Poodle

The Standard Poodle is definitely not a stranger to dog shows. The froufrou breed has taken top honors four times. The last Poodle to win Westminster was Ch. Whisperwind On A Carousel in 1991.

The Poodle's odds of winning Best in Show are 20 to 1.

English Springer Spaniel

English Springer Spaniel

English Springer Spaniels are bred either as hunting dogs or show dogs — but never as both. As a show dog, they certainly excel in the ring: The breed has won Best in Show six times. The most recent winner was in 2007, Ch Felicity's Diamond Jim.

The breed has a 15 to 1 chance of winning Westminster Dog Show.

Scottish Terrier

Scottish Terrier

The unmistakable and iconic Scottish Terrier has won Best in Show an astounding eight times. The last Scottie to win was only a couple years ago, Ch. Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot, better known as Sadie, who won in 2010.

Will the breed win again this year? The odds are 34 to 1.

Wire Fox Terrier

Wire Fox Terrier

Amazed how many times the Scottie and English Springer Spaniel have won Best in Show? Well, they have nothing on the Wire Fox Terrier. The breed has won Westminster Best in Show 13 times. This feisty breed really is all guts, all glory. The last Wire Fox Terrier to win was Ch. Registry's Lonesome Dove in 1992.

Will this year be win number 14? With 8 to 1 odds, there's a very good chance.
