“Mr. President” and “The First Lady” welcomed two iconic new additions on Friday and Saturday in Washington, D.C. With lots of anticipation and many watching on a live Web cam, the fuzzy gray bald eagle chicks hatched in their nest at the National Arboretum. Their mom and dad have been dubbed Mr. President and The First Lady, and fans have been making suggestions for their babies’ names, including Sasha and Malia after the Obamas’ daughters, and Cherry and Blossoms, for the famed flowers that are reaching their peak blossom in the city now. The two are expected to take their first flights when they’re between 12 and 14 weeks old, said the American Eagle Foundation. — Read it at People Pets and watch them live at the DC Eagle Cam
