Lena Givens, 84, was at a Houston Rockets basketball game Monday when the torrential rains that lead to devastating flooding started. She said she had to wait 3 to 4 hours in the lobby of a hotel to get an Uber driver. By then, the road in to her neighborhood was impassable. Givens was worried about her Poodle, Tinkerbell, who was in her crate at home during the flooding. Luckily, Givens’ grandson borrowed a friend’s boat to rescue Tinkerbell and reunited his grandmother with her beloved dog Tuesday. Tinkerbell somehow survived the flooding inside her home. "(Tinkerbell) was floating on a chair in the living area,” said one of the dog’s rescuers. “She got out of the kennel somehow and she was floating in a chair.” — Read it at Click 2 Houston
