Miranda Lambert and Emmy Lou

When it comes to rescue dogs, Miranda Lambert just can't help herself.

The country singer tweeted this picture of herself holding Emmy Lou, a stray dog she found in a ditch last week.

"Um….new addition. Emmy Lou! Ok ok I know I need to stop. But she was in a ditch!" she wrote.

Lambert and her husband, country singer and The Voice coach Blake Shelton, already own eight dogs — just last October, Lambert brought home a stray she named Ophelia, and the other members of the pack are named Delta, Delilha, Jessi, Waylon, Virginia Bluebell, Black Betty and Cher. We're guessing nine canines would have tipped the scales!

But the cute pup still got her happy ending: She was adopted by Lambert's friend Vicki. Lambert later tweeted pictures of Emmy Lou with her new owner and her dog sister.
