In just one day, a British department store commercial featuring a little boy’s pet penguin has lit up the Internet with more than 4.5 million views on YouTube — and it’s easy to see why.

The world has quickly fallen in love with Monty, who, in the video, is looking for love.

For a while, the CGI penguin seems to have a fantastic time playing with his 7-year-old owner, Sam. They jump on a trampoline together, play with Legos, watch movies — and Sam even sneaks his pal some fish sticks from the dinner table.

But, when the boy realizes his friend wants to fall in love, he gets Monty a new penguin friend named Mabel for Christmas. And then, at the end, comes a reveal we weren’t expecting.

The toy penguin, which is available in different sizes priced from $19 to $150, sold out online by yesterday afternoon, according the U.K.’s Daily Mail. The Monty line also features 39 other items, including pajamas, cufflinks and Christmas cards. Some of those items also sold out.

John Lewis, which isn’t mentioned in the ad, is known for having popular and emotional Christmas ads — often featuring kids and animals.
