Last month, former “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest got a call on his radio show from a heartbroken fan. Her rescue dog, Romeo, required $8,000 in surgeries to repair ruptured ligaments in his hind legs, or she’d be forced to have his legs amputated. Seacrest, a dog lover himself, told Romeo’s owner, Mercedes, she didn’t have to make that terrible decision: he would cover the cost of the surgeries for her dog. On Friday, Mercedes and Romeo visited their hero in his studio. Seacrest shared a photo of the pup on Instagram, writing, “I had to help out Romeo with a couple leg surgeries he really needed … now he’s recovering well from the first operation and has one more to go. Good luck champ.” — Read it at People Pets
