Sneaky Cemetery Flag Thief Turns Out to Be a Woodchuck

Residents of Hudson, N.Y., were irate after flags placed in front of graves in the Civil War soldier section of the Hudson City Cemetery began disappearing shortly before the Fourth of July.
"It's so disrespectful what they've done to our veterans," a resident told CBS News.
When veterans volunteered to replace the missing flags, the outrage only grew. Hours after new ones were erected, the thief struck again — in broad daylight. In fact, the episode repeated itself three times in one week!
To catch the culprit, groundskeepers decided to mount a motion-activated camera near the graves. The responsible party didn’t quite fit your typical vandal profile: He had four legs, and a penchant for digging holes.
Not convinced? Watch this CBS Sunday Morning clip, which provides further proof that the wily criminal really was a woodchuck.
