Henri, the French cat known for his ennui, is turning his tired eyes to politics.
Not surprisingly, he finds the political world depressing — especially the laughs that came in reaction to fellow feline Tuxedo Stan running for mayor of Halifax, Canada.
“I believe the latches on cat carriers were made to be broken,” he says (through subtitles, of course). “Why shouldn’t cats govern?”
Le Chat Noir is already an Internet star, racking up millions of views with Henri 1 and 2 and the summer’s Henri 3, Le Vet. Apparently, even being named the winner of the people’s choice award at the International Cat Video Film Festival at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis didn’t please him.
The Seattle Times recently asked him to weigh in on politics, and he did in the short video below: Politique.
