Sylvalyn Hammond DVM

Dr. Sylvalyn is a dedicated companion animal veterinarian with experience in both general practice and emergency care. She’s deeply committed to educating pet parents and believes that strong preventive and wellness routines can help avoid many urgent situations. Her professional interests include nutrition, emergency medicine, and Fear Free–based handling techniques. At home, she shares her life with Hugo, a retired U.S. Army IED detection German Shepherd who completed two tours in Afghanistan before being injured in the field and honorably discharged.
