They’re quite popular and not without reason. Adorable cross breeds, like the Labradoodle, are typically created with the intent of folding the best of two breeds’ typical appearances and personalities into one great dog.

And while you might meet a lot of Labradoodles these days, how much do you really know about them and other “designer” dogs? Find out with the quiz below.

Question: Which of these dogs is a Cockapoo?

Answer: The Cockapoo, on the right, is a mix of the Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. The dog on the left is a Goldendoodle.

Question: The Poodle, which is part of so many designer breeds, is known for usually being smart, family-friendly and easy to train.

Answer: True. Poodles have had a reputation for being frou-frou, but they also tend to have an Einstein brain and a great sense of humor and are often wonderful family dogs.

Question: The Cavapoo, a mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, isn’t typically much for snuggling.

Answer: False. The fun-loving Cavapoo can be quite trainable — but he might prefer snuggling on the couch to working on his obedience skills.

Question: Which designer breed is pictured here?

Answer: The Aussiedoodle is a mix of two breeds known for their intelligence: the Australian Shepherd and the Standard or Toy Poodle. He can make a fantastic therapy dog.
