While there are plenty of popular kitten and puppy names out there, finding a totally unique (but still completely adorable!) pet name can be a bit more challenging.
To find some of the most unusual and little-known names out there, we dug through Vetstreet's database of more than 89 million dogs and 49 million cats to find names that appeared just once. From there, we divided them into categories and selected our favorites. So, with no further ado, we present the cutest unique pet names with a food or drink theme!
(Note: These are not pictures of the actual pets with those names; our database has the names only, not the images. But if you have an adorable pet with a rare name, please submit it to our Facebook page. We'd love to see it!)
Who'd have thought that this tasty Mediterranean dish would make such a charming name for a dog? We'll be seeing our favorite eggplant spread in a whole new light from here on out.
Who needs a latte to start the day when your furry alarm clock has a name like Catpuccino?
When your pooch is super-duper sweet, what can you do but give her a name referencing two desserts?
How feisty must this kitty be to earn such a spicy name? Playtime must be a blast in that house!
Like peanut butter and potato chips or french fries and milkshakes, we can't say we'd normally put these two foods together, but now that we've seen it, we're totally on board.
Risotto Frodo. Flan Han. Berry Cobbler Harry Potter? Nope, we can't come up with a name that's a better mix of food and a movie character than Nutella Bella. Go ahead, try it.
If we had to choose a favorite play on words in this category, Oreo Speedwagon would have to be it. Seriously, we can't fight this feeling.
Another nod to last year's most popular pet name, Porter Bella gives the Twilight character's name a clever (and tasty!) twist.
If the cat bearing this moniker isn't at least a little bit of a diva, we will be so very, very disappointed. A feline named Puddin'licious has to have a bit of cattitude, right?
And we helped! (No, actually, we didn't. But if Shake n Bake's owners ever need some help with snuggling or treat feeding, we're there.)
Sure, people tend to have very strong feelings about tapioca in its pudding form, but we can't imagine feeling anything short of adoration for a kitty with this endearing name.
