Store Apologizes After Kicking Out a Girl and Her Service Dog
When 9-year-old Emily Ainsworth, who is autistic, visited a chain store in Canada last July with her service dog, she was told the dog wasn’t allowed in the store. The Winners chain apologized and gave her a gift card to come back — but when she did so last week, Emily was asked to leave again. Now Winners will donate $10,000 to a charity of her choice. Emily’s mother says the money will be used to train a service dog for another autistic child. — Read it at CBC News
