Get ready, aristocats. A one-night crowd-sourced pop-up exhibit in Brooklyn takes the idea behind the blog Ca$hcats.biz — which features photos of cats with cash — to a whole new level.

The Sept. 6 show, presented by Tumblr and Forced Meme Productions, includes both never-before-seen photos from the blog and other mixed media artwork inspired by Ca$hcats.biz. The idea for the show was born after Portland artist Lisa Hildebrant created a series of paintings based on Ca$hcats.

The forces behind the show say it explores “the power dynamic between cats, humans and the Internet … This is a very sensitive area, not unlike the belly of a cat. The more we probe, the greater our risk for claws, biting and kicking — possibly all at the same time.”

All of the artwork will be for sale in a silent auction, with part of the proceeds going to benefit BARC, a Brooklyn animal shelter. If you're lucky enough to attend in person, the event starts at 8 p.m. and will be held in Brooklyn’s Dumbo Loft. RSVPs are requested.
