Three lion cubs from Qatar are making the Denver Zoo their temporary home.
The three were born to a lion pair belonging to Sheik Khalid Hamad Al Thani, son of Qatar's ruling emir, who had received them as a gift from Sudan a few years ago. But when their mom died following a difficult birth, the sheik contacted zoos in the United States to try to find someone who could better care for his lion pride.
The trio, including males Tsavo and Enzi and female Sabi, will reside at the Denver Zoo until they are larger.
